Weekend in "The City"
This past weekend, I went up to San Francisco to visit Azeen, who is by the way, my "life coach". (Only by default, because she's the only one of my friend's who has a degree in that field.) Monica also came in from Turlock to visit. As we were driving around, we passed a bar with Chamay signs outside of it and I insisted that we order a round because Azeen and Monica had never tried Chamay. Well, as soon as the beer flowed, so did our life problems! Three hours later and a several Chamay's later, we had solved each other's problems.
The next day, I had this idea in my head to ride from the Mission District, across the Golden Gate bridge, to Mill Valley, then up and around Mt. Tam and back. I think it had to have been one of the best rides I've had this whole year! It was absolutely gorgeous and warm in Marin! If you've never been to the Central/Northern California coast, you will find (year round) lots of fog and chilly weather. So, the rare occasion of sunshine was taken full advantage of. On the way back, I thought it would be fun to go straight through the City and do a little work on those infamous San Francisco hills. I must say, after 6 of those, it kicked my butt, but it was fun!
